We are currently seeking an Evaluators to administer school-based evaluations in accordance with Special Education mandates. The job tasks include (but not limited to) all aspects of the evaluation process from intake, evaluator assignment, case management, clinical support and QA review.
*We need Masters Level, Licensed Clinicians including but not limited to BCBAs or LBAs, Licensed School Psychologists, Special Education, LCSWs, LMHCs.
*Must be available to travel to respective Evaluation Site(s) (in district or in home) and be flexible to conduct evaluations throughout Nassau and/or Suffolk County.
The Evaluation Coordinator must be familiar with:
- Psychological testing, analyses, and report writing for school aged-children
- Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) Development
- Assessing diagnoses and comorbidities, including (but not limited to) ASD, ADHD, ODD, anxiety, depression, school refusal behaviors
Responsibilities include (but not limited to)
- Conducting interviews
- Growing the evaluation department
- Providing professional development training
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Psychological Testing, Functional Behavior Assessments, Analysis, and Report Writing
- Familiarity with bilingual psychological assessment procedures and report writing, ethical standards, and culture-fair best practices

Blue Sea Educational Consulting is seeking an experienced Special Educator/ABA professional to contribute to our growing team.
This is an independent contracting (1099) position to provide administrative (in-office) and in-field mental health and related services to students (K-12) and their families across Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island.
We enable our professionals to build individualized and flexible caseloads, and offer experiences in treating a wide variety of presenting issues and comorbidities, such as anxiety, depression, school refusal behaviors, ODD, ADHD, and ASD. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated professionals to help foster an interdisciplinary approach to student growth and wellness.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in ABA, Special Education, Psychology, or related discipline with a minimum of 1-year in-home ABA experience.
General Responsibilities Include:
-Assisting students in acquiring skills in the areas of executive functioning, behavior management, coping skills, social skills, activities of daily living, and communication, as outlined within the student’s IEP (Individualized Education Plan)
-Providing support/collaboration to in-field providers
-Reviewing student goals and progress
– Developing and implementing of interventions that teach new skills and/or reduce interfering behaviors
– Conducting on-going evaluations of the effectiveness of the intervention, with modification made as necessary to maintain and/or increase both the effectiveness and the efficiency of the intervention
– Utilizing evidence-based, safe & appropriate handling, guiding and prompting procedures
– Collaboration with all treatment team members including outside professionals, and other stakeholders
– Establishing and scheduling work hours within compliance of student’s individualized education plan
– Developing and submit quarterly and annual progress reports as per the timeline set forth per Local Educational Agency (LEA)
– Maintaining student confidentiality and dignity
– Ensuring that all student data is filed/stored properly
– Attending relevant CSE meetings

- Licensed in the state of New York as a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) and/or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required.
- Experience as a field supervisor working with and training ABA therapists/technicians.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Working within a school district, providing Behavior Intervention Services including consultations in relation to individual IEP requirements.
- Conduct services with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Complete FBAs and write reports as led by assessment, including BIPs while incorporating goals set by the parents and school district.
- Coordinate cases, assess performance and adjust as necessary.
Requirements:
- Certified BCBA
- Experience completing FBAs and BIPs
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment.
