☀️ 5 Things To Do Before the Summer Ends ☀️
🐓 White Post Farms of Melville is a great “just go” option. Their summer program runs through September 7, with animal encounters, rides, shows, and a foam-party component on select days.
🌊 L I State Parks & Recreation — spend a few hours at the beach, walk the boardwalk, then add mini golf or another seasonal activity. Jones Beach is particularly easy because you can make it a half-day rather than committing to an entire outing.
🐬 Aquarium + Riverhead adventure
Long Island Aquarium is perfect for a hot or rainy day. The aquarium has interactive exhibits and marine-life experiences, and its summer programs run through August.
💦 Water-play day for younger kids
If you have little ones, try Tobay Beach Spray Park or Shipwreck Cove Spray Park. Both are more manageable than a giant water park and make for an easy 2–3 hour outing.
*For older kids, Splish Splash is the bigger adventure; August events have included family-friendly Neon Nights.4.
⛳ Mini-golf + dinner + sunset
Sayville Falls Mini Golf is a fun low-planning option: 18 holes with waterfalls and ponds, and it's open into the evening.
