Currently Hiring for Qualified:

  • Work within school districts providing behavior intervention the services, to students, teachers, faculty, and parents in relation to the individuals IEP requirements.
  • Complete assessments including the VB-MAPP, AFLS, ABLLS, and FBAs.
  • Write reports as led by assessment, including treatment plans, and behavior intervention plans while incorporating goals set by the parents and school.
  • Coordinate ongoing cases, assess performance and adjust as necessary.
  • Provide direct and indirect consultation to providers, aides/paraprofessionals, parents and RBTs in the delivery of 1:1 ABA services.

Candidate Must Possess:

  • Licensed in the state of New York as a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) and/or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required.
  • Experience as a field supervisor working with and training ABA therapists/technicians.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment.

Blue Sea is organized as a “professional collaborative”. Our executive management team is comprised of individuals from key professional disciplines including education, psychology, social work, speech language pathology, occupational and physical therapy, and the law. Blue Sea provides educational services to children, students, and families throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties. We specialize in providing in-school consultation, ongoing school and home-based behavior intervention services and parent training, and support and intervention to students exhibiting anxiety and school refusal related behavior. Blue Sea is seeking Junior (Jr.) and Senior (Sr.) Level In-School Consultants to develop and oversee treatment plans for our clients and provide direct support to school district personnel.

Location: Part-time and Full-time Fee-for-Service positions available throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties.

The Sr. Consultant, in collaboration with the Jr. Consultant provides support to our school district clients. Educational settings include but are not limited to, elementary, middle & high school as well as alternative placements. The types of support provided differ per environment and may include the following (with Supervision from a BCBA/LBA):

– Conducts descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments

-Designs (BCBA/LBA) and implements behavior analytic interventions

-Trains others to carry out effective behavior analytic interventions

-Provides professional development to school staff

Qualifications

Sr. Consultant:

Education: Minimum Master’s Degree in a related field, BCBA/LBA preferred.

Experience: Two (2) years experience with maladaptive responding in school and home environments, functional understanding of ABA principles, experience teaching functional communication & social skills, staff training experience.

Jr. Consultant:

Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

Experience: One (1) year experience with maladaptive responding in school and home environments.

Blue Sea Educational Consulting is currently seeking New York State licensed and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologists as well as Clinical Fellows.

Blue Sea Educational Consulting has an immediate need for Behavior Intervention Service Providers & Parent Trainers for casework on Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk Counties). Qualified candidates have a background in Behavior Intervention, Psychology, and/or Education, with a Master’s Degree or higher in one of these disciplines. In addition to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), we are seeking candidates with clinical training and experience in additional other types of therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavior therapy, dialectic therapy, and social emotional learning.

Candidate Must Possess:

  • At minimum: Master’s level degree.

Blue Sea Educational Consulting has an immediate need for Occupational Therapists to provide direct service, coordination and consultation casework services on Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk Counties). Qualified candidates will be certified Occupational Therapists, with experience working in schools/with pediatrics.

Blue Sea Educational Consulting has a need for mental health service providers (Master’s level) and consultants (PhD Psychologist or LCSW) to join our team on a part or full time basis, to participate in and oversee delivery of educational Mental Health services for students (K to 12) in all disability categories, and in client school districts on Long Island. Key areas of responsibility include development, implementation, and monitoring of ‘best practices’ mental health standard operating procedures, as well as training, coaching and coordinating direct service providers. Candidates must have strong clinical, managerial and communication skills, and must share our values, including a commitment to an inter-disciplinary team approach, positive change and high expectations for positive change and high expectations for positive measurable outcomes.

Candidate Must Possess:

  • At minimum: Master’s level degree.
  • License or Certification: Doctorate in Psych, LCSW or LMSW
